heys guys,i was in bal a few weeks back and sitting on a pallet were these two big radial like engines,im wondering what aircraft did they belong too?

They are from a USAAF B-17G serial 42-31420 which crashed on Truskmore Mountain, Co. Sligo on 9 December 1943. Several of the crew survived the accident. You can read more in the listing here:

A There is a museum at Baldonnel
B The Air Corps and Army provided assistance and partial recovery of equipment from the B17 at the time. HTH
