Salthill Air Show 2007
« on: February 23, 2007, 09:10:06 am »
Hi Guys,

Here's the first participant list for the Salthill Air Show on Sunday 24th June:

USAF
Thunderbirds

RAF
Tucano (included on the Tucano display website provisional listing)

Irish Air Corps
Pilatus PC-9M
CASA CN235-100MP Persuader
Eurocopter EC135P2
Agusta Westland AW139 (first outing at Salthill)

It's early days yet so the list should grow, the Irish Air Corps should send some more aircraft, I (personally speaking) hope that they send the recently purchased Avro Cadet (oldest flying original Air Corps aircraft) and the soon to be retired Alouette III.

No Red Arrows this year by the looks of things. Their calendar was announced a few days ago and Salthill are not on the display list.

Things as with all these can change but for now it doesn't look likely.

Hi frank!
What about Eddie Goggins? Has he flown since his accident in
Malta?
He put on a great aerobatic display last year and  although the line up is looking brilliant to date, an extra 300 would be the icing on the cake
 roll on June 24th!!!!!!!!!

Have heard that the Merlin team has been withdrawn from all dispalys for 2007,does anyone know if this includes static display or only flying displays, great pity as their display was one of my highlights of last years show.I guess operational demands have caused this, but then again thats what they are there for.    '<img'>

Hi All!

Just had a gander at the Salthill website
we’ll get to see at Least one Hawk display as opposed to 9
With the participation of the RAF Solo Display Hawk

Also the RAF Sea king Commando Helicopter for static display!

Nice One!!!!!!

If it is a Commando then it is Royal Navy.  The only RAF Sea Kings are the rescue ones.

Correct SF,

It will be a Royal navy Sea King, either the Commando version or the AEW version that appeared last year.
