Hi Guys,

Here's a selection of my pictures from the 8 ship flypast at Baldonnel, full size pictures here:

http://www.irishairpics.com/reports/5000hrs_flypast_07/

Thank you to everyone in the Air Corps who helped arrange for myself & Dave to be present on the day. Thanks also to everyone who babysat, fed, watered and spoke to myself & Dave on the day, it was nice meeting you all, we both very much appreciated being present for such a notable event.

Anyway, on with the show.

Regards,

Frank.

Great pics Frank, really good action shots and great clarity. It must have been great for all the pilots flying in such a large group. Did anyone see them practice for this as I'm sure they had to.

Another 8 ship formation flight, that's is an impressive turnout when you realise that they only have 8 PC9's. The Red Arrows take a spare plane to their 9 ship flight in case 1 goes US. Well done IAC.

Excellent news. Are they preparing for a fly-past for an upcoming event or is it another photo op? Seems strange if it's just the latter.

Hi Frank

It would nice to see that type of formation at Salthill, a great testament to the IAC

IRL227,

you saw an 8-ship of IAC PC-9M "the other day" and you're not runnin' to your computer and slam it on the board but kept on "just wondering "??'<img'>

This is once in a lifetime there.

I wish I saw it.

Just to let everyone know that the weather wasn't kind on Friday with some low cloud and rain to stop the 8 ship on Friday.

It is now hoped to fly them tomorrow at some time as the nexxt cycle of scheduled maintenance will start grounding the planes one at a time till July.
