Welcome to the new website & forum

Hi Guys,

Welcome to the new WorldAirPics.com / IrishAirPics.com forum.

I've set up WorldAirPics.com to encourage more people to use the website and message board, having "Irish" in the website name puts foreign users off and I'm trying to be more inclusive. Moving the forum to a new site like WorldAirPics.com allows me integrate forum and site, hopefully in the future allowing more features to be added to the site.

But don't worry, IrishAirPics.com is not going anywhere and all Irish related topics will remain on the forum. The forum will be re-organised and additional topics will be added, so please feel free to make suggestions. Any ideas for features, additions and cool aviation videos for homepage are more than welcome.

Once WorldAirPics.com is fully working I will turn my attention to IrishAirPics.com and upgrade that site. IrishAirPics.com will be dedicated to Irish related pictures only, pictures meeting the following criteria are all that IrishAirPics.com will display:

- Air Corps aircraft
- EI reg aircraft
- Pictures taken anywhere in Ireland

What timezone is the site set to?  Currently it is 7.15 p.m. in Ireland but the site says it is 11.15 p.m.

The board server time is US Eastern Time.

If you go to your Profile, then under the Modify Profile heading click on Look and Layout Preferences, you will see a setting called Time Offset.

For Ireland set this to +5, you will then have Irish time. For anyone not in Ireland click on the auto detect link for the system to set your time offset automatically.

I'm liking the new forum very much!:)

I think its a good idea to change to worldairpics.com as it will attract more foreign users and in turn allow them to find out about the aircraft and operations of the IAC...or in some cases it's very existence?!

The only minor problem I seem to be having is that the forum is very wide and I can't see the extreme sides of it at all??

That answers that, I was confused about the time as well! I thought it was some state security device!
