Cadetship Life
« on: May 07, 2008, 11:36:42 pm »
Hey guys,
I know this isn't a very relavent time to be talking about air corps cadetships but I'm currently at the stage where my life for the next 5 or 6 years is being decided and the thought of the air corps has always been at the back of my mind. I've read through all the forums through the years and talked to some ex-service men but the one thing I dont know much about is the actual cadetship itself, whats the life like? I know alot of emphases is on sport, a big issue for me would be that my main sport isnt played at all by the defense forces, would a cadet be allowed to leave at night for training if there was no need to stay on site. I know alot of cadets still manage to play football, play for their country etc...how is all this accomadated?...

I know it doesnt seem very relavant in the scope of things but when your going to sign your life away for over a decade it seems important! And to me ice hockey is life!

Thanks guys
