Air Corps to deliver match ball to Munster V New Zealand match tonight.

Just saw the matchball delivery. An AW139 hovered into the stadium and a pair of Rangers fast-roped down onto the pitch with the ball. A good show. I guess they didn't want to leave any wheel marks on the pitch!

I agree ... the Air Corps contribution was excellent! I'm sure lots of kids (incl many 'big kids';) were looking at it and thinking 'cool'!  :airforce_cool:

 :ireland:Rumour has it that the delivery of the match ball was such a success that they may consider doing this for all future international matches. It may become the the Irish Haha!

Was at the match - great show by the Air Corps :applause: :applause: :applause:. It surprised a lot of the attendance who were not expecting it :yikes: :wow: Some of the punters expected them to drop the ball  :duh:, while others thought they should land  :jaw-dropping: - what if they bogged down!

Anyways - well done to all, it was a pleasure to see.
