Irish Marine,
Do not pay any attention to these ignorant, racist yahoos.  Could you imagine any American being allowed to say things like these yahoos against the Armed Forces.  I think you and I are about the only ones on this site who are proud patriotic Irish who are proud of our great Defence Forces especially the Irish Air Corps.  To quote Churchill: "Never have so many relied on the so few".  These people on the website  are never happy and need to mone and grone at everything!

The IAC forever!!

I'm still waiting for your proof FF, I should probably mention that my professional qualifications are almost all in the fields of anti-racist theory and anti-racist and intercultural policy making.
While we're at it IM can back up his allegations also.

Imshi-Yallah-Who are you calling mad in a worrying way!! I think your the one who is mad in a very worrying way on this board.   All you do is attack peoples views and comments, I have noticed a trend on this board with your comments. Your the one who is mad with your comments to your previous quotes-I think it was a few people on this board who had to keep you in check.

Well I rest my case, if you dont have anything good to say, dont say it at all.  Where are you from any way? Born and all that good stuff???

It really depends on what you want to do within the "corps"?
Its at a transitional stage at the moment, but the days of old with lads havin a bit of craic are gone!! The GOC is tightenening the noose on the less motivated among us!! The new generation are leaner and have a longer apprenticeship than before, with the military training end of courses being up to speed with the infantry and the physical tests being the most stringent in the DF (Oul D.W wont even allow ye a second on the run!!)
A lot of the newly minted Airmen are talkin of leaving already but then again they are all avionics techs so havnt sampled the other stuff!! (Funny that, cos of all the different skills I would have thought that Avionics is goin to be in the forfront with these new A/C in all!!??)

That's the problem, they keep mixing the technical side with the bullshit side, doing guards, stand too, etc. When they get the balance right between military and technical, and once the proper role is determined, then the 'Don will be a good place to work. But while the top brass muddle through with 40 year old aircraft and the government try to make do with the cheapest option, the technicians have to mix working on high tech. systems but still have to do guard duties, then they'll look to other places for work.

With respect IM, unless you're a current or former member of the Air Corp you are in no position to offer advice on the subject or contradict the advice of others.

I didn't say anything racist, In fact I didn't say anything remotely insulting. I disagreed with IM offering career advice because he had no direct experience of serving in the Air Corp (much like you), I never once mentioned race.

How dare you accuse me of being ignorant and racist, I do my best to make informed contributions without resorting to personal attacks.

Either provide proof of prior racists comments made by myself or apologise & shut up.
D'oh!

I am going to keep this comment very short and to the point, As an Irish Born Citizen and also having known Irish Air Corps Pilots, I am got going to sit back and let someone tell any one to stay away from the Irish AirCorps.

I will tell any person to join the Military and dont listen to any one. Make your own choices in life!!!!!!!!! '<img'>
