Thanks for the PM, Claudel.

I received that address from an exer in Oz just after I posted the last one.

Was John laid off recently from 'Lingus? I can't believe they allowed it all to go, so many lads out of work. Those skills won't just come back either.

We're constantly getting the statement that we're overstaffed in Engineering at BA! Can't believe it! We're struggling to get aircraft out all the time, then something else jumps out and adds extra work to the check. But in the not too distant future there's going to be an awful lot of retirements!

There's a slow trickle of apprentices starting to come through at the moment but we haven't had any for about 15 years.

How's things in the 'Don? You sending anything over to RIAT?

Best wishes,

JK

Hi Mick

Long time no see. How are you keeping?

Mick there has been nothing about this since anywhere. John could be home, buried and all at this stage.

Missed you when I was down in Waterford last month doing an ejection seat briefing with your lads and Waterford Fire Service. Maybe next time I'm down there we'll meet.

Hi Mick,

Sorry to hear of Johnny, i'm quite taken aback at the news. When we were apprentices I used to go to Thurles on many weekends and got to know his family very well back then. I'm with the private company (CHC) up in Sligo at the moment...dont mention the war!!!

I would love to meet up with you sometime, and say hello, maybe I'll drop into the "Don" oneday and say hello to you.

Regards

Mick

PS My e-mail address is in my profile :tombstone:
