New book on IAC
« on: July 07, 2010, 12:05:37 am »
Does anyone here have any info on a new book on the history of the IAC by Lt Col Michael O'Malley?  May be Dr. M O'Malley on the book, supposed to be out this week according to David O'Malley, son of Michael!

Hi,
Knowing Michael's work, this will be a "must have".

Hi Frank,  I was told about the book by Michael's son David last week.  We live quite close to each other in rural Surrey and I used to drink in a pub he owned for a while nearby.  It was always a bit weird when the conversation strayed onto Baldonnel stuff, as he grew up on the base!  Sadly he didn't have any publication info, I was hoping someone here would have their finger on the pulse!

Hi there, the book is out now - I obtained my copy in ''Hoggis Figgis'' on Dawson Steet in Dublin yesterday. It's an excellent book.

So, have bought a copy on Friday and started reading it straight away.
None of the catching story telling and one would be disappointed if one is looking for some fancy pictures in it although there are some very good sketches and diagrams and few more or less known photographs. So far.... I'm loving it.
