Special Marchetti Paint Scheme?

Hi Guys,

I saw a curious reference to a special Marchetti paint scheme in an email today:

"...Warrior in a twin colour yellow front end and dark blue rear
with the IAC roundel placed over the divide just behind the
cockpit...."

This aircraft was apparrently in Baldonnel this morning.

Anyone got any ideas or more information?

What was referred to was an old civvy Cessna 152 that splatted here some years ago and was beyond economical repair by the owner.

Avionics Sqdn as they were at the time were given it with the wings taken off and small fillets in their place and a phony cardboard cutout of a cockpit for their sponsored Aircraft Pushes around the country for Cara Cheshire Homes etc and was first painted like an Air Corps Cessna and then given different paint schemes for different pushes, all depending on whatever out of date paint was lying around.

Hence its current yellow and blue scheme.

Thanks for that info.  I think the person who wrote the email I spotted the original mention in got their facts wrong.

I know of that Cessna but forgot about it, and I suppose I kind of hoped the Air Corps had done up a special paint job for air shows or something.
