Thats not very democratic, infact I've never heard a single member of the PDF say something like that...funny really.

Irish Marine: I wasn't flaming you I really just meant to ask you whatever you might reveal about yourself.

I just want to see the parades back,  it would be great for the younger people to  see the Defence Forces.  I personally would love to wear the Irish Defence Forces uniform on a parade!!!! The respect you would get from all the people and the fact that you are Irish and wearing your Country's uniform.

Who runs the Army? I cant understand how members of the PDFORA  can over rule what decissions the Generals make.

Well if you are in favor of having a union in the Defence Forces than I am not going to knock you, but to some one like me it sounds strange.

Lets hope that the Defence Forces can survive these new cuts. ''  '<img'>  '<img'>

Imshi,
I think you are being racist here! I would be careful!!

Irish Marine these are the sort of unpatriotic people I was telling you about that turn up everywhere in this country. Ithe Celtic Tiger had one major underbelly Mai Feiners!! Ignore them if I were you.

What you silly little being! I look forward to the day when You are finally banned, and since I work with the disadvantaged and have given a good chunk of my youth to the defence of this state I can only assume the Me Feiner comment refers to people who spend their time spewing verbal detritus at innocent internet users.

Lurk I don't know who you are but you're obviously not old enough to know JK who is one of the 40th Appt.Class and was very well known and respected while he was here.

I hope you will apologise for your remarks as they were not researched before you made them.

For your information all apprentices do basic military training for 12 weeks after they come in initially and before they actually head to the school to start their tech training.

Part of the job I'm afraid. Maybe you were one of the few lucky ones or you're bluffing about being here!

If you were in the DF as long as you claimed you would now the nature of our predicament and the impossibility of what IM suggests.

Em Claudel I think he was further discrediting FF TO JK, as opposed to suggesting anything about JK

Not if you think that Irish people have pride in the DF, they're too busy being self obsessed and greedy, a life in the service of others isn't very fashionable at the moment...especially when its in the military , which just wants to kill babies!
This is the majority opinion in this state, has been for all my adult life...so instead of faffing about with parades its best to just keep the head down and keep working away till they suddenly realise they need us.

Hey Claudel, thanks for that, I do sense a bit of jealousy sneeking in there in Lurks post! Lurk, if you look up FFs particulars you'll see that HE is really a SHE! And as I've said in another strand, I don't remember any female pilots in the 'Don up to 1985, FF reckons that she was a pilot in one of the Fouga's when the Pope flew in! Well I was on the line when the Fougas went off to escort the Pope in and when they returned. There definitely weren't any female pilots there that day! And how come she doesn't post any replies in the real Air Corps persons thread?
