Exclusion zone lifted at Lakenheath US air base An exclusion zone around a US airbase in Suffolk has been lifted after a suspicious vehicle was given the all-clear, police said.
Officers were called to RAF Lakenheath at about 0800 BST after reports of a suspicious vehicle.
A one-mile (1.5km) cordon was put up around the base which was lifted later in the day.
Suffolk Police said an army bomb disposal team had given the vehicle the all-clear.
