Hopefully we get some new displays this year but the U.S Air force always like to make an appearance with a new aircraft every year so looking forward to seen what they have for us this year and fingers crossed we get some good weather on the day if anyone can confirm any acts that be great.

I obtained the above  Info from the "Events Dairy in the March issue of FLYING IN IRELAND MAGAZINE"

No updates as of yet but I'd expect the return of our regular display pilots  Eddie Goggins, Gerry Humphries & Dave Bruton

"Declan Curtis who's an airline pilot Has restored an ex RAF  de Havilland Canada DH-1 Chipmunk (G-ARGG) and repainted it in IAC colours  Sqn No "169"

Its the 60th anniversary of the entry into service of the beloved Chipmunk into the Irish Air Corps service,
so it would be fitting tribute to see it at Bray

Another wishlist of mine would be The Irish Coast Guard's latest acquisition. The CHC Sikorsky S.92A due to to go into service in June to be based in Shannon

I like the new  brayairshow website

Great to see Declan Curtis will display the  Chipmunk 169 at Bray

It'll be interesting to see how the Hunter displays at Bray

with Bray head towering nearby could prove challenging for any  fast jet pilot to negotiate

My guess would ne a lot of " B AXIS " flying keeping a safe distants even pushing the display line further out to sea

it will be the first fast jet at Bray I think !

Nice new website.
I attended the show a few years ago and hope to go again this year.

What I would like to see at the show is one or more of the PC-9M's doing a fast fly-past.
The general public who attend have no idea what the PC-9's are capable of and I'd say many people
at the show just regard them as a slow trainer plane.

(It would be even better if a PC-9M could do a firing display out at sea...that would surprise a lot of people at the show! .....I know this is never going to happen btw)  :airforce_cool:

Would also be nice for the people of this country to see what they are paying for every now and then !

Thought Eddie Goggins had pulled out as well? Something to do with him changing aircraft or something.

Hi tony

Maybe a miss print on the web tony .

The website has been updated and the Chipmunk G-ARRG is published on the program  its a bit confusing
there are two Chipmunks  : Berry Vessers Chipmunk & IAC painted Chipmunk "169" but only Chipmunk G-ARRG on the flying list !

I did bit of research and found that the British Civil Aircraft Register has aircraft Reg G-ARRG down as a Cessna 175B

Anyway I  hope Declan's IAC painted Chipmunk can make it to Bray

Yes joey1 it must be a misprint on the web, you are correct G ARRG is not a Chipmunk, I thinlk you may see two Chipmunks 169 and 170 flying. According to a certain Irish magazine it made reference to a Chipmunk given the same treatment as 169 and finished in the same colour scheme.
