Great Idea lets buy a poorly constructed copy of the Dauphin which has served us so badly from a country that would have to send an aircraft 3000 miles to deliver parts....

Its worse than a badly constructed copy, it IS a Dauphin...
its an SA365N version. Hopefully when the dauphin retires, its the last we'll ever see of its like in the aircorps. Blackhawks or SeaHawks are only the way to go im afraid.

Maybe they can upgrade the Avionics cheaper then Eurocopter.

Downgrade or upgrade them as cheaply as possible, bang two off to the NS ,Base them in Cork. And keep one for MATS so the Fat Cats stay away from the new craft and one for Utility.
Then buy 6 Blackhawks

some of you talk about the dauphin is if its the worst chopper ever built.if it were up to me i would retain them in service and the people that say they served us badly are 100%wrong!im sure other people think this

I must say I will miss the Dauphins when they leave. When I see them strutting their stuff around here I always think of the introduction of..........Baywatch!

Thankfully its not up to you. Tramore taught us all what a great heli the Dauphin is.
