I can't Make it this year  '<img'>

Definately well worth going. Try making a weekend out of it as Galway is certainly a good spot for a weekend away. and you can see the Practice runs on Saturday aswell.

Was that a great day out or what, excelllent work and some great performances. Well done to all. One little gripe I have was the lack of helicopters from the air corp. PC9 Excellent, same with the Casa and the one A111. But the army had more on display again then the Air Corp.
But fair dues to the RAF they are sent over the star of the show the Harrier, as well as some fantastic displays by there crews.

I don't know where you parked, but I was out in minutes, and I parked on the sea front and left after the parachute display. Guards at every Junction. Very unusual for Galway. Everyone I spoke to said the traffic management was excellent.

Well Clan ... I was at Lower Salthill Road and the traffic was literally locked to a standstill even at 1830hours.  I could not agree that the traffic management was satisfactory. Parking had been allowed on both sides of Lower Salthill Road which resulted in traffic flow becoming physically impossible -- indeed an ambulance had to drive along the pavement on the seafront to by-pass the paralysis. I had to ring the Gardai at Mill Street to report the situation because no guard was sighted for a half an hour either side of 1830. In addition even as late as 2000 hours there was a long queue on Lough Atalia road heading out.

There are many routes in and out of off Lower Salthill, I guess you just took the wrong one. Or I was lucky, but most people I have spoken to went the way I did and no one experienced any real delays. The traffic moved slowly but moved. The major problem with Galway is not enough Guards, and what they had must have stuck to the main archerys and Lower Salthill was maybe not seen as one.
Now the Queue in Nicos chip shop on the way Home, now that was very frustrating.

Hello all,

New to the board. Can't believe I've only discovered this site now - Finally people to talk aviation with!

Was at the Salthill airshow yesterday. One of the best yet and I'm glad to say I've never missed one.  Harrier was definitely one of the highlights and of course the Red Arrows. And I love them Tornado's - So loud!!!

First time I've had a decent camera for it. Even though I only had a 35-80 lense I think I got some good pics. Fingers crossed...

Great show and well done.

Oh ya, what happened to the Dutch SAR helicopter and how come the Garda EC135 didn't fly?

Just waiting for the call....

This was my first time at the Salthill airshow and I must say I was impressed. For me, there were a few exceptional performances..

The Tornado F3 of the RAF put in a thunderous performance and I think it really got the crowd going..

The two tornados of the German airforce and navy also impressed (especially the last flypast, with one undertaking the other)..

As always the Red Arrows were outstanding especially the synchro pair..

I think the best solo display was by the RAF Tucano. It put in a very polished and precise performance and really impressed me..

So what do you guys think...Who outshone the rest??

Thanks for that.
Do the photo`s have to be a particular size ie 1536x1024 or can they be any size?
Also, do you know what the Blackhawks registration number was?
