Salthill Air Show 2004
« on: June 11, 2004, 05:32:01 pm »
Well Guys,

It's nearly that time of year again, only a few weeks left to go until the Salthill Air Show.

Who's going?  Let us know by posting here.

It's shaping up to be a great show and if you can at all get to Salthill.

I'll be looking for pictures from the day for the website, I can't be everywhere at once so some of you will probably get pictures that I can't get so please send them in.

If I get enough good quality pictures from the day I'll hold a competition to pick the best pictureand I'll organise some sort of prize for the winner.

Anyway, let us know if you're going or not.

Regards,

Frank.

Would love to try out my new zoom-lens camera at the airshow - but I will probably still be in the southern hemisphere at the time.

looking forward to seeing pics of the show.

Aircraft tend to go very low indeed. Germans are the best at low level..............Roll on Tornado's!

Good show, great weather, but traffic arrangements appalling. Little effort by Gardai or stewards to marshal traffic after show, Galway clogged up for hours.

Hi Louie,

The show starts at 3 but you would want to be there way before that.  Show usually ends at around 6pm.

You should be there for around 11-12ish to see the Choppers arriving and to get the "buzz" going as they say!
