'AIR CORPS' - and proud of it !
« on: June 14, 2004, 07:53:10 am »
There has been talk on this board on many occasions (including myself) about changing the name of the Air Corps.

However, having given it some thought (and looking at it from the perspective of a foreign land) I believe we should retain 'Air Corps' - and be happy to have something different than other countries.

The name also has a lot of heritage associated with it - in use since 1922 after all.

Silver,

I'm dutch and I fully agree with you on this one.
Lookin' at your history I use the Gaelic name for myself and when I talk about the IAC in The Netherland.
Why.................?'<img'>
Because even I'm a clog , I'm proud of what these people are doin' with a little of equipment.

We've done this before people,I think it might have been on the old board though!!
I do agree about the Air Corps name being applied to the aircraft, would increase profile etc.

If/when we get combat jets, I believe we should still retain the name !

Can somebody here do a computer image of a blackhawk (and or a EC635) with a small AC roundel followed by "AIR CORPS" (in black writing) on it's tail boom ?
