Hi Guys,
I made enquiries over the weekend about badges and here is what I found out.....
A Fouga Commemorative Patch is unlikely to be created or approved by the Air Corps, meaning that as it's not an official badge it's general appeal to collectors of militaria would be limited due to the fact that it's not a proper military badge.
Outside of a few enthisiasts it's appeal would be limited, making it financially un-viable. To be honest I don't think I would buy one if someone else made the badge for that reason alone.
However in saying that, I have enquired about having IrishAirPics.com patches made up, and these would incorporate Fouga 220 as the current logo also does, but the initial cost of my badges (same as with the Fouga badges mentioned above) would be something I can't afford right now, what with me being on the verge or moving into a new house and all.
I have to stress though that the IrishAirPics.com patches would not be commemorative ones, just badges promoting my website.
If someone else wanted to take the risk and design and make the Fouga Commemorative Patches I would be happy to sell them on the website for them.
Regards,
Frank.
