I read recently (AFM ?) that the Belgian Air Force will no longer train it's pilots in jet trainers.

They will instead be trained in France.
Some Belgian Alpha jets have already been moved to France.

Silver,

the BAF have just upgrated their A-jet fleet so I don't think they will fase them out this soon.

I know that 2 or 3 pilots are trained no in France as an exchange programm.
Maybe AFM is confiused with that.

Belgium is bi-langual and all pilots must be able to speak Flemish and French.

It seems that the Belgium's Air Force are looking at the Irish Air Corps as the benchmark!  Guinness the Belgians are just like us - we have to speak Irish and English!!
