UAV's for the Air Corps ?

F Molloy raised a good point in another thread here about the Naval Service operating UAV's for fishery surveillance ops.

Wouldn't UAV's also be a great asset for the Air Corps re border surveillance (and perhaps similar ops with the Gardai) ?

What kind of costs are involved in purchasing UAV's ?
