My father (who is familar with the shape of AC Alouette's) said he saw two 'dark coloured' helis near the Curragh Army base this evening.

Are there some helis currently here for evaluation perhaps ?

I'll tell you a funny thing about helicopters...They can go to other places. its amazing really..

I have seen these 2 aircraft flying in formation in the East clare area,so it is not outside the bounds of possibility that they are doing the same in the Curragh?

Dont try to be a smartarse, it doesnt suit you.

Got a spin in one of those EC130's a few weeks ago when they put down in a field beside a midland's town because of bad weather. Guess where they were heading? Citywest, in formation. They are VFR single pilot machines and the best landmark for that type of flying is to keep the main road in sight-hence the prox to the Curragh, if indeed these were said helis. Beautiful machines.
