I know I started this asking about a fly-past as I am coming to Dublin for the Paddy's day period. On a different subject, has anyone been to Johnnie Fox's Pub. I am planning to go there on Friday night. Have been told the crack is good up the mountains !!!

Its a pub whose design is based on a sardine tin. Draw your own conclusions.

Rumour has it the PC-9's will be conducting a flypast of both the Cork and Limerick Paddy's Day Festivals.

Thanks for the info, do they do a run down O'Connell Street or what ?

Id imagine they'll be flying them in the sky. The luas wires would prevent them from running up and down o'connell st.

Limerick is the best bet and indeed the current Minister deserves it as being the only minister who habitually stays local on St. Patrick's Day and eschews the exodus overseas.

I was watching the news to see if the PC-9's would be shown.

A formation of 5 x PC-9's flew over Limerick in an arrow formation (as shown on Six One News. "Look up for Pilatus military aircraft" the reporter said '<img'> ).

Did they overfly Dublin aswell ?

Yes, as I predicted Limerick got it for obvious reasons. Did they take in anywhere else on the way down or back ... there was a military component to the Newbridge parade ...

The Pilatus made a number of very Impressive formation flypasts in Limerick. They were supposed to do likewise in Cork, but this was cancelled due to low cloud.

Well done to those involved. Fiddle O Dea looked smugly happy on the reviewing stand.

Ah well he is the minister.  I wouldn't begrudge him a flyover
