I agree. I don't think they used-up all their airframe hours. That would require a complete rebuild to zero-time them. Probably a major inspection needed like *** hours inspection or so. When they are about to be retired, it's not worth the money to do such an inspection. Me thinks 217 could be active again in a month or two if they did the inspection and an airtest.
