I heard yesterday that a second spitfire will visit the stampe fly-in in Deurne airport (Antwerp) in 2 weeks. There's allready one there(MK14 or 16). the second one is gonna be a 2-seater flying in from Duxford. Big chance it will be the one in IAC colors  '<img'>  Best thing is, they will both fly that day! might be worth checking out  '<img'>

Thanks for the heads up, Fouga23. I was at Manston yesterday with some of my Air Cadets, keeping the general public away from Spitfire BM597, flown in for the 60th anniversary of the end of WW2. They told us that two spitfires would be doing a flypast and at 12.00 on the dot they came streaming past with 161 looking fantastic in her Air Corps colours! Brought a tear to my eye! (it was a bit of dust actually!)
The other one was the silver Griffon engined one, I don't know the reg. but they beat up the airfield a couple of times and then headed up to Duxford.
Then it was Flt.Lt. Charlie Browns turn and he took off in BM597 and did a couple of low and fast passes in front of the crowd, finishing off with a victory roll-he told my daughter he'd do that when he saw her in the crowd! so of course she was chuffed! Brilliant!

Don't know why this topic was moved to the "foreign AF" board, since it's about the Irish spit, but anyway... I wasn't able to go because of schoolwork, but there are some pictures on this site:
