Karel

Yes, there were a couple of other Irish visitors also.  Maybe we will come over again next year - is it decided yet which base will host the RNLAF show in 2006?

Hi Guys,

I use a Canon EOS-20D 8.2 Megapixel with a Sigma 50-500mm lens. For wide angle work I use I've got an 18-55mm Canon lens.

I've only got the gear over a month, the Open Dagen was it's third air show and I'm still learning how to use it properly.

I'm very happy with the above pictures but there are still a few things that I need to improve on.  I'm glad you all like the shots, I hope to have the settings finally pinned down by Fairford (I've got Salthill and Flying Legends to go to first).

Regards,

Frank.

Short Finals,

next years airshow will be held at Leeuwarden AFB way up in the north of the country.

Lets keep in touch as it may be worth to book a hotel with a group.

Thanks for that, Guinness - that's a bit less accessible, I think, for those looking for a bargain air fare from Ireland.

Depends........ If you all fly in on the wednesday or Thursday and drive up together ( share car rent and hotelrooms) I think that ( excl. flight) it'll cost you around €120,-- for the weekend.

If some one is interested let me know as I'll be checking the hotels early !!!
