Can anyone explain the Fougas pictured on that page with T-tails? I cant find any reference to this configuration on the internet. It looks like an  extensive modification. They also appear to have a Hunter type inlet. Very odd  '[:sus:'

It's not a Magister it's a MS 760 Paris.

The Paris was the same vintage as the Magister and I believe the same engines but had side-by-side seating, a number were converted to 3/4 seat excutive jets after disposal by the FAF.

as IAS said, it's a completely different aircraft. the only Fouga with a T-Tail was the number two prototype. It was later converted to the butterfly tail we know now.

Thanks for the info, that website just confused me  '<img'>

The Fouga Magister is a far more attractive aircraft than the Paris. (I was wondering what had possessed someone to mangle the Fouga)

By the way Fouga23, I understand that the Magister uses a unique oil for its Marbore engines and that nobody is making it anymore, will this lead to their grounding or are their alternative oils that can be used?

I've heard one US owner that had trouble with the oil, but that was years ago. I think it's easely available. AT least our AF doens't seem to have problems with it. the oil used is AIR3515A (nato code O-136, but AIR3512 (O-138) can be used al an alternative
