Very nice, Tony.  I recall Alouette 202 flying in the 1970s in a dayglo-trimmed scheme, well after the others had shed that finish - have you a shot that would confirm that?

DH 104 Dove 8 201 outside Hangar ! at Baldonnel December 1972. Lettering on the fuselage top is "CALIBRATION". This Dove is now in Australia.

Short Finals.
The colour scheme for Alouette 202 was quite unique. It carried hi vis red on the lower cockpit panels only, somewhat like the the Gazelle whereas the others at the time carried orange dayglow on the door panels. I will have to go back down the mine shaft, do more excavating  and see can I find 202.

Great pics Tony, those Vampires are superb. As Guinness says the sound was magical. Looking at the line up makes you wonder could they have "intercepted" that Canberra?

Just one question, was the Anson still operational in 1974?

Looking at the Chipmunk, I remember being out at Baldonnel around that time, seeing two fly in from Gormanston and almost "dogfighting" over the base.
