Every unit in the JASDF has at least one airframe in a celebratory colour scheme, as the JASDF is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year.

Hi all
There must be a Japanese spy in the paint shop in Aer Lingus then. There's a big red "hinomaru" on every Airbus...I'll get worried when the pilots strap banzai scarves onto their heads before they go flying!
regards

These are not for the anniversary in fact they have been doing elaborate designs like this for years for no occasion atall

Excellent display at Leuchars, esp. the solo, despite the lowish cloud cover.

They were introduced as "Team PC9" with the explanation that a name has yet to be decided on. The PA guy said something about 'Fox/Foxes' but I didn't catch it all.

A good display well received. Plenty of crowd interest while parked up and on the way out to the runway. Pity about the cloud but thats Scotland (and other places) at this time of the year.
The local PA guy gave a good running commentary. He welcomed the team, mentioned that Leuchars was getting the first team display in the UK and I'm sure that he said that they had been invited to return next year.

I hope they accept the invitation.
