 South Korea spent $109 million on the construction of a stadium for the 2018 Winter Olympics. After the games end, the city of Pyeongchang will demolish it. Future host cities might want to consider ephemeral stadiums, considering many former host cities are still grappling with abandoned Olympic venues.
