Large Picture Comments: An unusual visitor to Weston before its recent development.

The aircraft is owned and maintained by Finnair. The subsidiary of Finnair, Malmilento Oy, is the operator. The The Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) Aerogeophysics Division is responsible for all measurement units and their use.

During over 40 years the GTK and and Karair, the former Twin Otter operator, and now Finnair/Malmilento have succesfully completed over 2 millions of line kilometres in aerogeophysical survey operation, mainly for mapping and subsequent mineral exploration programmes.

The Twin Otter has had several modifications were made to its electrical system in order to reduce the electrical noise level. This aircraft has been used since 1980 for aerogeophysical measurements.
